Lead consent and contact suppression basics
You import contacts MAILTIG does not sell. Suppression, unsubscribe and a physical address are product controls. This page is not legal advice and is pending counsel review.

MAILTIG suppresses unsubscribed, bounced and blocklisted contacts at send time and adds List-Unsubscribe plus your postal address. This page describes the product. It is not legal advice.
What MAILTIG stores
You import contacts (CSV or API). MAILTIG does not sell a contact list. A contact can be verified (0.1 credit), suppressed, unsubscribed, or marked as a bounce. Sequences skip people who are suppressed or unsubscribed.
What the product enforces
- A physical postal address in the footer. Preflight blocks a campaign start without it.
- List-Unsubscribe headers on mail MAILTIG sends.
- A bounce circuit breaker: after 20 sends, a 5% bounce rate pauses the campaign.
These are controls, not a finding that your list is lawful to email.
Suppression is not optional hygiene
If someone unsubscribes, they stay out of campaigns. If a provider reports a complaint, treat it as a stop. Re-importing the same address to "try again" is how programmes get shut down. MAILTIG will not guess your lawful basis for you.
When legal review of MAILTIG's own terms and privacy notice is complete, those documents will replace the drafts currently marked pending review.
